For the past 9 years Hazel has worked with Children and families in Scotland providing support in a variety of settings, including home care, respite, and the judicial system. Hazel has a passion for attachment theory and has found her on-going training in this area to be very beneficial in her working practice and the development of the children and families with which she works.
Hazel studied in Scotland and gained a Diploma in Health and Social Care, before going on to undertake vocational qualifications which have enhanced her knowledge and passion to provide care to children and families.
Throughout her career, Hazel has mentored staff teams to ensure they provide the best possible support to every individual child and family. Hazel continued her learning in this area and went on to complete a Professional Development Award in Health and Social Care Supervision, enabling her to support staff to reach their full potential.
As a team leader for R&R intervention Services in both Surrey and Richmond, Hazel continues to use her knowledge to support interventionists and families through the curriculum, ensuring support is provided in a child centred manner with a strong focus on promoting positive attachment.
